About
Telltale Games is an American-based video game developer and publisher. The company filed for bankruptcy on September 21st, 2018 leaving only 25 employees to complete its Minecraft: Story Mode, and The Walking Dead: The Final Season. History Founded on March 3, 2004, by a group of former LucasArts employees, Telltale Games released its first title, Telltale Texas Hold'em, on February 11th, 2005. After gaining attention, Telltale acquired rights for Sam&Max from LucasArts. Since then, the company created multiple movie-based titles, such as Back to the Future: The Game and Jurassic Park. Its most known series was The Walking Dead. Operations Telltale Games was mainly a developer, although it helped publish several titles in its first years. Its games were narrative-focused and non-linear with the players being able to alter the game's story by their actions. Every Telltale-made game used the same gameplay mechanic which resembled a point-and-click quest with occasional quick time events.
