Bohemia Interactive
About
Bohemia Interactive is a Czech-based video game developer and publisher. History Founded in 1999, Bohemia Interactive introduced their proprietary game engine, Real Virtuality, in the following year. In 2001, BI released Operation Flashpoint, which was published by Codemasters. After the release of two Operation Flashpoint expansion packs, Codemasters stops the financing of the Czech studio. At the face of financial troubles, Bohemia Interactive begins work on Armed Assault series that made enough profit for the studio to survive a difficult period. Operations Bohemia Interactive focuses on realistic military simulations. The studio develops its own game engines that feature realistic physics, ballistics, weather conditions, and animations. All the games developed by Bohemia Interactive revolve around modern combat and sophisticated combat scenarios. The core titles of the studio are ARMA and DayZ, that was made as a mod for ARMA 2 by one of Bohemia's employees, Dean Hall, in 2012.
