About
1C Company is a Russian-based company specializing in distribution, support, and development of commercial-oriented software with interest in video game development and publishing. History Founded in 1991, the 1C Company focused only on the development of commercial database software development. However, by the year 2000, the company established an in-house video game division. In 2009, 1C Company acquired the biggest Russian video game publisher and translator, SoftClub. This move established the 1C Company on the video game market. As of 2018, the company's video game division works on a free-to-play military shooter called Caliber in collaboration with Wargaming. Operations 1C Company focuses mostly on its video game publishing efforts. Most of the profit made by the company is acquired through deals with other publishers like EA, Activision, and Capcom. The most notable in-house developed titles are The IL-2 Sturmovik series of games, King's Bounty, and Hard Truck series.
