Larian Studios is an independent game development studio based in Belgium. It was founded in 1996 by Swen Vincke. It focuses on RPGs, educational, strategy and a few casino games. Its RPG series called Divinity include 6 games crossing in multiple genres, this is their most popular one. The studio does crowdfunding campaigns; the first successful is Divinity: Original Sin, which later won some prizes. The first game ever released is Divine Divinity (2002), a single-player hack-and-slash adventure. The plot revolves around a turbulent realm of Rivellon, a fantastic universe of magicians and mystic creatures; this world is a foundation of the future games of the series. Latest versions of Divinity are both single- and multiplayer. Microsoft, Xbox, and PlayStation support Larian Studios' games.
