Electronic Arts DICE
About
EA DICE is a video game developer. The name was acquired by merging video game publishing giant Electronic Arts with the Digital Illusions CE — the developers' team from Sweden. EA owns the company from 2006, and DICE is only their subsidiary since then. Generally, the merger has been productive for both studios, as DICE explicitly increased revenue after the start of Battlefield series development. Previous organization's works for MS-DOS and Windows were not of much commercial success. The interchange under the EA's wing has brought not only financial benefits but also recognition. The Battlefield, Medal of Honor and Mirror's Edge series are now solely associated with the name of DICE, and all of those game generally received a positive review. Partly, the love of the audience can be explained by technological breakthrough which is achieved by an authentic Frostibe game engine developed especially for generating real-life environment.
