Daedalic Entertainment
About
Daedalic Entertainment is a German video game developer and a subsidiary of Bastei Lübbepublisher founded in 2007. Daedalic administers two studios: Daedalic Entertainment Studio West and Daedalic Entertainment Bavaria. Mostly, it develops game series such as Edna & Harvey, Deponia, The Dark Eye, and The Whispered World, all of which are adventures. Daedalic is primarily known for its adventure games; sometimes they are mixed with genres like indie or exploration genres. Other successful games are stealths (for example, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun) or RPGs (such as Blackguards 2, which is also a part of the Dark Eye series). One of their most successful games is The Pillars of the Earth, a point-and-click adventure where the player controls one of three main characters while they travel through several areas. The Daedalic team also makes design and production, produces projects in cooperation with other studios and develops IPs for almost every platform.
