Croteam is a Croatian video game developer founded in 1993. The company is best known for the first-person shooter series called Serious Sam (the first part released in 2001) and for a puzzle game The Talos Principle (first released in 2014). Serious Sam is a first-person shooter that was also published by Devolver Digital. The game takes place in various backgrounds, for example, 22nd-century Egypt during the alien invasion on Earth. The Talos Principle is a first-person puzzle video game released on multiple platforms. The Talos Principle is a narrative-based puzzle game, played from a first- or third-person perspective. The game features a giant mechanical man who protects Europa in Crete from pirates and invaders. The games have a single and co-op campaign modes. The first game they ever developed is Football Glory (1994), a laid-back sports game.
